The members of the Doctoral Council introduce themselves
Lea Dohrmann:
"I am at the beginning of my doctoral journey: In April 2023 I started my dissertation project at the University of Hamburg in the Department of Evangelical Theology. Thematically I am dealing with prayers in the Gospel of Luke."
Charlotte Dumitrascu:
"I am a speech and language therapist and am pursuing a doctorate at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE). In my dissertation I am investigating the physiological swallowing development of infants and small children."
Janna Ehrlich:
"I am a PhD candidate at the Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH). Currently, I am at the final stages of my PhD. I started in 2019 and was able to gather invaluable experiences which I would like to use to help other PhD candidates and to strengthen the PhD community."
Dennis Lopatta:
“I am doing a doctorate in the Faculty of Education at Universität Hamburg. I’m interested in whether there is a connection between experiential diversity and individual self-regulation. I think the exchange of information and ideas between doctoral researchers is particularly important. We can all benefit from our experiences and knowledge.”
Mirjam Reidick:
"Since July 2020, I have been pursuing a doctorate at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in the Neuroplasticity research group. In my interdisciplinary dissertation project, I am exploring sexual activity, (mental) health, and brain plasticity."
Constanze Struck:
“I have been doing my doctorate in the Faculty of Education at Universität Hamburg since March 2021. My research and teaching focuses on philosophizing with children, elementary school education, fostering democracy, and uncertainty as a dimension of educational action.”
Janika Stille:
“I am doing a doctorate at the Institute of German Sign Language and Communication of the Hearing Impaired in the Faculty of Humanities at Universität Hamburg. My research looks at perspective-taking when decoding expressions in sign language.”
Karoline Thorbecke:
“I am doing a doctorate on foreign language education in the Faculty of Education at Universität Hamburg. For my dissertation, I am investigating the development of Ciritical Literacy using a reconstructive process.”
