Registration for the new workshops and information events at the Hamburg Research Academy is now open. We recommend registering quickly, as places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Together with the events organised by the Hamburg Research Academy, the event portal lists a wide range of offerings from HRA member universities that are available to researchers across disciplines and institutions.
Our highlights
- Approaches to Good Supervision: New to doctoral supervision? The five-part supervision series offers space for exchange, reflection and practical ideas to help you get off to a confident start in your new role.
- AI 101 Or: Top Tools, and How to Use Them Optimally and Ethically on 27 April: Understanding AI, using it wisely, prompting it better: In just one hour, discover helpful AI tools for creative and communicative tasks and learn how to confidently avoid ethical pitfalls.
- Erstes Vorsingen? Applying for professorships on 6/7 May: In a blended learning format, postdocs can learn about the appointment process and receive specific assistance and tips for their applications.
- Promovierendentag on 21 May: This year, the topic of career development will be examined from various perspectives – ‘Your Career, Your Story’ – in academia and beyond. Short workshops and opportunities for exchange await you.
- Science Communication in Grant Proposals on 7–8 July: Make your research visible: Learn how to strategically and convincingly incorporate science communication into your grant applications – practical, interactive and specifically designed for postdocs.
- Sommerfest & Three Minute Thesis on 25 August: In the 3MT competition, doctoral students present their research in just 180 seconds. Take advantage of this event in Hall 424 to exchange ideas, network and gain exciting insights into current science.
