HRA Doctoral Day 2020: Focus on Writing and Publishing

On 22 October, we invite all doctoral researchers from our nine member institutions as well as those interested in doing a doctorate in Hamburg to the HRA Promovierendentag 2020: an afternoon all about writing and publishing! The doctoral day takes place once a year with a changing focus. Please note that the event takes place online and mainly in German.

The program consists of short workshops in which you will receive information, impulses, and advice. Topics are writing an exposé, writer's block, time management, writing for social media, electronic publishing, good scientific practice in the publication process, and writing abstracts in English. Thanks to the interactive coffee break, networking with other doctoral researchers is also possible!

Get involved: The HRA Doctoral Council

Following the doctoral day, a digital meeting of the Doctoral Council will take place on 22 October at 6:15 pm. There is an opportunity to get to know the previous speakers and to ask questions about their work. Whether you are only interested in the work of the committee or even want to be elected as a speaker yourself – you are invited to join the meeting! Participation is also possible without taking part in the doctoral day.
