Poster competition: Research at a glance

Would you like to present your scientific work in a creative and inspiring way? Have you ever considered the possibilities of visualizing your research? Then we invite you to visualize a topic or research question from your everyday scientific life in a captivating image.

Take this opportunity to showcase your research in a unique way and leave a lasting impression!

• Who can participate? Doctoral and postdoctoral researchers from all HRA member institutions and associated institutes, across all disciplines.
• What should you submit? A high-quality digital image (photo or photorealistic montage) suitable for printing in DIN A1 format (landscape format, width: 841 mm x height 594 mm). The image should visualize a specific research topic or research question. Accompanying the image, please include a brief description (max. 200 words) explaining the research question, methodology, and context. Also include your full name, your institution, and your field of study. The accompanying text will be displayed with the image.
• Evaluation criteria: The images will be evaluated by the HRA based on creativity, scientific significance, and aesthetics.
• Prize: The top three entries will receive book vouchers.
• Visibility: The winning images will be presented at our 3MT event in August and permanently exhibited at the HRA. Additionally, we will distribute the images via our website, newsletter, and social media.
• Submission: Please email your image and accompanying text to Dr. Fenja De Silva-Schmidt(fenja.ds.schmidt"AT"hra-hamburg.de) by 25 May 2026.

By submitting your image, you confirm that you are the author of the image, and grant the HRA permission to exhibit the image in printed form, and publish it digitally on the HRA's websites and social media channels. Your name will always be credited.
