EUGLOH 2.0 – Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program (BIP)
Organized by Universität Hamburg in collaboration with University of Alcalá, Universidade do Porto and UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
- Virtual Part: 05.09.2024 and 09.09.2024 (10:00-15:00 CET)
- Physical Part: 23.09.2024 (14:00 CET) - 27.09.2024 (13:00 CET)
Target Groups: Doctoral researchers from all EUGLOH member institutions and from all UHH European partner universities. Open to all disciplines with a research project related to global health. Maximum size of the group: 40 PhDs.

Funding
Candidates are obliged to check the availability of Erasmus+ BIP grants at their home institution before applying to the program. Please contact the ERASMUS team at your university for further information.
Erasmus+ grant for BIP participants to Germany, Hamburg:
- Basic subsistence and travel costs: (Erasmus+)
- Possible top-up: Green travel
- Possible top-up for PhD researchers with fewer opportunities
Please note: Participants are responsible for organizing their journey and stay. Participants cover travel, accommodation and all other costs from the Erasmus+ grant.
Application process
Candidates applying for the program must provide the following documents:
- Short CV (1-2 pages)
- Short abstract of the PhD research project, particularly related to the Global Health approach of the European University Alliance for Global Health (EUGLOH) and described in a generally understandable way for a non-specialist election committee (max. 300 words)
- Motivation letter with reference to at least one of the BIP focus topics or activities (max. 200 words)

If more eligible candidates apply than there are places available, the organizing consortium will select on the basis of academic merit, congruency to the program objectives and a targeted equal distribution between EUGLOH partners.
Successful applicants will be informed by mid-July to plan their stay in Hamburg in good time. We strongly advise to book your accommodation as early as possible. Recommendations and organizational advice will be offered.
