Can you present your topic convincingly in just 180 seconds—using only a single slide? That’s exactly the challenge doctoral researchers face in the Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) competition. Participants from all disciplines take the stage to showcase their science communication skills, while the audience enjoys entertaining and insightful presentations on current research topics.

Would you like to present on stage? Great! All doctoral researchers in Hamburg are invited to participate in the 3MT competition.
Apply by 28 June and send us: your university and institute, subject area, current doctoral phase in years, short description of your dissertation project in max. 200 words (DE or EN).
Preparatory workshop: Participation is mandatory for accepted speakers on 9 July 2026 from 10am to 14:30pm, so please keep this date free if you are applying.
